Trophy Mountain Lion Hunts
Hunt these elusive big cats with some of the most experienced outfitters in the business. There is nothing more exciting that hearing the hounds bray as they tree the lion and your part of the hunt begins.
Hunt #1: Hunt southern BC in the Kootenays on the west side of the Bull River. This is an excellent hunt. The hunt takes place in one of the best game areas that BC has to offer. It boasts a healthy cougar population due to the availability of prey. The hunt has a very high success rate on large toms. Hunts take place in December and January, and the hunt is led by a team of devoted and highly skilled hounds. This thrilling hunt is 7 days, 1x1 guided. You can hunt cougar only, bobcat and lynx only, or a combination of all three.
Hunt #2: Hunt cougars in the Bull River drainage with this great outfitter and his cougar hounds. This is a first class operation with super nice people- they are one of our favorite outfitters. The outfitter harvests only mature toms, which his experience and knowledge allows him to know by looking at the cougar's track, so that you aren't wasting your time treeing females. This is a 7 day hunt in December and January which boasts a 90% success rate. This very hard working outfitter gives every client 100% effort, and he has 30+ years guiding experience. You may choose to add a bobcat onto this hunt, or even hunt the bobcat as a stand-alone hunt if you so choose.
Hunt #3: Here is a chance to hunt the Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness in Idaho. This is an 8 day hunt with 2 guides for 1 hunter. You will be hunting with hounds for these wild cats with experienced and enthusiastic guides. This 1.3 million acre hunting area has less than 1% that is accessable by roads.
Hunt #4: This hunt takes place in December and January. You will have 4x4 and snowmobile hunt transport while hunting big cats with hounds. This is a semi-remote hunt with lodging at the outfitter's base camp. The hunt is 7 days, 1x1 guiding. This outfitter has just leased 3 new hunting territories for cat hunting, so hunting ground definately won't be an issue! Point of outfitting for this hunt is Cranbrook, BC.
Hunt #5: Hunt some of the West's most scenic country in Utah with this outfitter and his pack of well trained cougar hounds. Outfitter has exclusive cougar hunting rights to several hundred thousand acres. The hunts take place from December to April, and the hunt transportation is either 4x4's, snowmobiles, ATV's or horses depending on the conditions and snow.
Hunt #6: This is Southwest Style cougar hunting at its best with horses and hounds. This outfitter is constantly out scouting for fresh tracks, scrapes and kills before your hunt so that you don't have to waste your hunting time doing it. This is a great quality hunting experience with an excellent, family-friendly outfitter. The hunt is 6 days, and the price of the hunt includes home cooked meals, warm, comfortable beds, hot showers, a great camp atmosphere and an excellent hunting area. Hunts here take place from October 1-March 31, and licenses are over the counter. Also offers a 3 day bobcat hunt.
