Shoshone Wilderness Team Sportsmen Membership Classes

There will be three membership classes in S.W.A.T.S. : Charter Membership, Family Membership, and Regular Membership.
Charter Membership
Charter Membership is for the original members of the club. The Shoshone Wilderness Adventures booking agency, which we owned and operated for 25 years, had 354,000 active hunters in its database. We have not yet been able to contact all these members, but are in the process of doing so. We feel they should all have a chance to sign up as Charter Members, as these people have trusted supported Anita and I over the past quarter century. We anticipate, given the value that Charter Membership provides its members, that a minimum of 10% of these hunters will want to sign up. Therefore, we have set aside 35,000 Charter Memberships. S.W.A.T.S. is trying to draw a delicate balance between the value to our club members, and the value to our outfitters that we represent. We need enough members to be able to assist our outfitters in booking their hunts, and yet we don't want so many S.W.A.T.S. Charter members that Cancellation Hunts only last for a few minutes, which is sometimes the case. Because children of Charter Family members, when they turn 25, will automatically become Charter Members, the exact number of Charter Members will fluctuate slightly. Regular Members, whenever there are openings, will ascend automatically to Charter Membership, based on the date they joined the club.
Charter Members will receive the first shot at all Discounted and Cancellation Hunts. Any hunts that last more than two weeks, will be made available for purchase to the Regular Membership.
Regular Membership
Regular Members will receive all the benefits of the Charter Members, including the ability to bid on all Half Price Hunt Auctions. Access to the Cancelled/Discount Hunt list will be delayed by 14 days, after which they will have full access. Regular members will receive the full 10% discount on all standard price bookings. They will participate fully in all membership drawings, Blogs, etc. Regular Members will ascend to Charter Membership status as those membership positions become available. The list will be upgraded on a quarterly basis, based on a standard January 1-December 31 Calendar Year.
Family Membership
Family Membership is $250 dollars a year, and includes the spouse (1), and all children and step children of the Head Family Member, under the age of 25. Upon turning 25, the child may, if he wishes, join the SWATS Club, at whatever level (Charter or Regular) his parent held. In other words, a person turning 25, if his parent was a charter member, he will remain a charter member, upon payment of the $100 annual membership fee. Regular Members and Charter Members can upgrade their membership at anytime for $150, which is good until the annual renewal date of the Parent member, at which time, the whole family renews for $250.00.
