S.W.A.T.S. Members Hunt Swaps
This page is where Shoshone Wilderness Adventures Team Sportsmen can swap hunts with other members.
For instance, Joe Bagodonuts has a 300 acre farm in Wisconsin, and he is willing to trade a week's bowhunting on his property, with another club member for ???? His contact information is joe@bagodonuts.com.
Jim Bearkiller responds that he would like to trade a 4 day antelope hunt, on public ground, near his home in Riverton, Wyoming, with Joe. His contact info is bearkiller@yahoo.com.
The two hook up, and everyone is happy.
The key here guys, is to describe what you are trading accurately. If the largest whitetail buck ever killed on the Wisconsin ranch is a 115 buck, then please say that. Likewise, the guy in Riverton should describe his hunt as a hunt for 13-14 inch pronghorn bucks, some better.
This section is about creating value, friendship, and hunting memories. John Andre here at S.W.A.T.S. is not going to get into the refereeing business with this section of the club. If it comes to that, I will discontinue this section. Also, any exchange of cash between members is most likely going to be deemed some form of illegal outfitting by the local and state authorities. If I hear of such nonsense, I will report it myself, and your S.W.A.T.S. membership will be forfeited.
Hunt Swap #1. John Andre, Hamilton, Montana, is willing to trade a one week elk hunt on his Montana Ranch (200 acres), which borders the Bitterroot National Forest Hunters will stay at his cabin, which sleeps four very comfortably. There is a full kitchen at the cabin, and a good restaurant nearby. There are usually elk here on the ranch or on the nearby forest during archery season in September, and later on in November, when there are good snow levels in the higher country. Bulls will run between 240 and 300. It is steep country. Lots of 4x4 road access on the nearby forest. If you are lucky enough to draw aa 270 Area Mule Deer tag, the hunting will be exceptional. John is not going guide you, but he will point you in the right direction. He is also not going to help backpack out your elk (been there, done that.) Below is a photo of an elk taken two years ago on the ranch by my son-in-law, a photo of the cabin, and a 270 Area mulie buck. Wolf hunting is also open. If the elk hunting is slow, there is a nearby pheasant preserve, which is excellent, and the fly fishing for trout in this area is world class. John is willing to trade the hunt for ?????
