The S.W.A.T.S. Story

For 25 years, Shoshone Wilderness Adventures was one of the leading hunting consulting firms in North America, booking thousands of clients each year on hunting adventures around the world. John and Anita Andre, owners of S.W.A., also were owners of Courageous Lake Caribou Camps, the largest hunting outfitter in the Northwest Territories of Canada. We also operated a deer and antelope outfit in Montana, and a spring bear hunting operation in northern Saskatchewan. With the environmental movement, in collusion with certain government biologists and politicians, shutting down all hunting for white people in the Northwest Territories, John and Anita decided to rededicate themselves fulltime to Shoshone Wilderness Adventures, and sold both the Montana and Saskatchewan outfits. We have filed with N.A.F.T.A. for the expropriation of our N.W.T. corporations, and that is still a work in progress.

John was an original founder of the Magnum Hunt Club, but had to divest himself of all interest in that club, as he fought for three years with the Northwest Territories government, trying to preserve hunting in the north. Financially, he could simply not fund both endeavors. Having enjoyed and believed in the Hunt Club concept, John and Anita decided to form their own hunting club: Shoshone Wilderness Adventures Team Sportsmen (S.W.A.T.S.). Instead of earning commissions from all the hunts he booked, paid by the outfitters, S.W.A.T.S. members now receive a 10% discount from all the high quality outfitters we have worked with over the years. This is the main club benefit, and it is a good one, saving our clients hundreds to thousands of dollars on their outdoor adventures.

S.W.A.T.S. is a Win-Win-Win for everyone involved. The outfitters have their marketing costs cut by 50%, since most agencies work on 15%. The clients receive a weekly notice of all discounted and cancellation hunts, and receive a 10% discount on all hunts they book, both regular priced and discounted hunts. The client deal directly with the outfitters, which many of them like. John is still here to consult with all S.W.A.T.S. members, so they can fine tune their choices. John and Anita win, because we don't have to write all the contracts, itineraries, sportsmen's questionnaires, etc. There will no longer be our 104 page full color catalog of our hunts. Everything is now done on-line.
