Adventure North: Experience the Ulitmate in Eastern Brook Trout Fishing with Bill Murphy of Adventure North. You will be fishing out of the Crooks Lake Lodge, which is located 60 miles southeast of Goose Lake, Labrador on the Upper Eagle River Watershed. You will have modern lodge accommodations with hot running water, generated power and satellite phone communications. Guiding is 2x1, with one boat and motor per two fishermen and their guide. Camp is limited to 6 guests per week, and the emphasis here is on personal attention. Brookies here average between 3 to 7 lbs, with 8 pound monsters not being out of the question. There is also a healthy population of large northern pike to fish for (up to 20 pounds!) Most fishing is done in the rivers and streams with dry fly equipment, but light spinning gear may also be used. Fishing season here is from early June through late August.

Enodah Wilderness Travel-Trout Rock Lodge: Fish fabulous Great Slave Lake, in the Northwest Territories, for monster pike. As our friend and owner Ragnar Wesstrom says: "WE don't have fancy chefs and spas. What we do have is the finest fishing for big northern pike on the planet." I think he may be right. Hundreds of islands and weedbeds, and incredible habitat, along with catch and release policy, make for fabulous fishing for big northerns. Great spot to fly fish for these great fighters. Minor Bay Camps-Saskatchewan: For big northern pike, this place is hard to beat. I've fished all over the north country, and this is, without question, as good as it gets. A 15-20 pounder is a big fish anywhere, and you will catch one here. Also good lake trout & walleye fishing. Comfortable lodge or outpost camps available. Highly recommended.
