Mozambique Cape Buffalo
Tim Troxel has been a client and friend of everyone here at Shoshone Wilderness Adventures for over 20 years. Years ago, when Shoshone Wilderness was a fledgeling company, Tim helped it out with a timely investment, that worked out well for him and Shoshone. Tim has used our services on ten or so hunts, and he has never been disappointed. A former military man, Tim does his part in preparing for his hunts, and it shows up in his 100% success rate.
Having hunted Zimbabwe a couple of years ago with Anita and I, Tim had the Cape Buffalo bug pretty bad. He was planning on a hunt in 2011, but with Shoshone Wilderness Adventures changing its format over to S.W.A.T.S., the money saved enabled Tim to push his hunt forward to this year.
The swamps of Mozambique hold large numbers of trophy Cape Buffalo, and the thick environment and lack of visibility can make for a truly exciting adventure. We have worked with Bahati Adventures for many years, and they have always done a great job for our clients. At $7668, including the daily rate and trophy fee, along with the air charter from South Africa, this was a value Tim just couldn't pass up. Pictures tell the rest of the story, including a bonus 31 inch Waterbuck!
